Forgotten password

The most common issue is a forgotten password. The solution is to go to the “Sign In” page and use the “Forgot Password” link to receive a secure password reset link to your registered email address.

Growth rates at the start of the new season

If you are doing your first farm walk for a while, the pasture growth rates will not make sense because there is no recent baseline reading. You can simply reject the growth calculation for that walk. Your first meaningful growth rate will be automatically computed on your very next walk.

In-Field Mobile & Plate Meter App

Pasture Coach includes a dedicated mobile in-field walk mode. You can pair your electronic plate meter (such as the Jenquip EC20) wirelessly via Bluetooth, hear real-time audio click feedback as each drop is recorded, and save walks offline when you're in rural areas without cell coverage. The data syncs automatically with the platform once reconnected.

District and Region Reporting

Pasture Coach automatically compiles the average pasture cover and average pasture growth rate for farms in your district and region. When you register your farm, you confirm your region (e.g. Waikato, Taranaki, Canterbury). Whenever farm walks are recorded, aggregated metrics feed into the regional benchmark database for community comparison.

Offline payment and research use of the software

For prospective users who prefer to pay by direct credit / bank transfer, or for educational and research use (demonstration farms, universities, and consulting trials), our team can set you and your farm up manually. Contact us at support@pasturecoachnz.co.nz.

Adding someone to access my farm's Pasture Coach data

You can share your farm data with staff, sharemilkers, or rural consultants by navigating to the Team & Sharing page. You can grant either Farm Admin privileges (for recording walks and modifying paddocks) or Viewer / Consultant privileges (for read-only access to wedges, reports, and calculators).

Transferring Historical Farm Records

If you have historical walk records or existing backup files from previous seasons, we provide free support to transfer and import your past records into your Pasture Coach account. Email your backup files or spreadsheets to support@pasturecoachnz.co.nz and our team will assist with importing your walk history at no extra cost.

How much does an annual license cost?

The annual license fee is $225.00 NZD including GST per farm ($195.65 excl. GST). Invited 3rd-party users (sharemilkers, employees, and consultants) access the farm for free under the primary farm license. GST Tax Invoices compliant with New Zealand IRD standards are generated immediately for your farm accounting records.
